It was early on a Saturday morning, a great deal earlier than Nino preferred to be up on a weekday, much less on one of his days off. He was tired, grumpy and not at all excited about getting into the tiny boat that was coming into view through the bushes. Ohno was practically skipping, seemingly unaffected by the current time of five forty-seven, while Nino staggered behind, swatting away insects and narrowly avoiding tree roots and bushes.

To say that Nino didn’t want to be here was an understatement, at best, but he did have his reasons. Very good reasons that would not only get him up at four thirty in the morning, but get him in a boat armed with a fishing rod. They could all be summed up into one word; Chinen.

Ohno had played dirty, Nino thought resentfully, and he’d gotten his way, like he knew he would. Nino had awoken the morning prior to an empty bed and that repulsive, awful laughter that he not only knew, but swore could drive him insane in mere seconds. If there was anything that could get Nino out of bed faster than free money, it was that loathsome boy. He had stormed downstairs, already in a sour mood despite the fact that he’d only been conscious for about a minute, and spotted right away, Ohno sitting on the couch with Chinen practically curled up on his lap. The gamer made his presence clear with a muttered good morning and a pointed glower at the surprised kid.

“H-hi, Ninomiya-san,” Chinen stuttered, looking between the two men, before straightening a little, removing himself from Ohno’s body.

“Chinen,” he nodded distastefully, as if just saying the word was a chore.

“Nino was helping me with a script last night,” Ohno lied easily, smiling at Chinen and then at Nino, who was now glowering at the older man as well.

No, Nino had wanted to say, last night I made him dinner, we watched a movie, then I took him upstairs, and fucked him. But instead he’d walked silently to the kitchen, slamming cupboards open and shut, as he prepared himself breakfast, refusing to acknowledge the two men on the couch.

“I was inviting Chinen fishing with me tomorrow morning,” Ohno smiled at the younger boy again, “He’d said he’d always wanted to try it.”

“Mm,” Nino replied, disinterestedly, “And he’s paying you for lessons?”

His lover had laughed, grinning at Nino as if he’d made a joke, which he hadn’t. “No, I was thinking of taking him out for the day. I didn’t think you’d want to go.”

He was right, of course, but as of that moment, if it meant Chinen lost a day alone with Ohno, then he’d go with a bright smile on his face “Oh, I have nothing better to do tomorrow. I don’t think there’s  enough room in the boat, though.”

Ohno was beaming, nearly jumping in his seat; and for good reason because in the whole nine years he’d known him, he’d never once agreed to a fishing trip. The triumphant look he was sporting should have tipped him off, but the gamer had gotten distracted by the fluttering feeling in his stomach.

“Oh, Chinen, we can arrange for another time, right?” Ohno had replied instantly, flashing a heart stopping smile at the boy, who immediately agreed.

---

“I am so glad you came today,” Ohno hadn’t stopped grinning since the moment Nino had agreed.

Nino would have made some snarky remark, but his band mate leaning in to kiss him gently and gripping his hand reassuringly had him wondering if the day could really be all that bad. An entire day alone with Ohno, what could possibly go wrong?

A lot, apparently. First, Nino had managed to tangle his fishing line all around his body, and that was even before he’d stepped in the boat. Then, he’d thrown up over the side of the boat when they’d had a slight rocky period, which had sent Ohno fussing over him. He’d stood up unthinkingly, trying to comfort the younger man, which had sent the boat rocking and finally, tipping. After they’d retrieved all the missing items, their day had effectively ended.

Climbing onto shore, their clothes wet and sagging, Ohno looked over at Nino, a small smile playing at his lips. “Well…”

With that, both men doubled over in laughter. It was the kind of laughter that left both of them gasping for air, holding their sides in an attempt to ease the cramp. They stayed like that for minutes; on the ground, sandy and soaked, in hysterics.

Tears were streaming down Nino’s face as he glanced at Ohno. “So, was that cord supposed to end up in the water?” And they were off again, stitches prominent in their sides, but they couldn’t stop, not even when Ohno held up their soggy sandwiches and suggested they go to lunch.

A/N: Wow, forget about me? I did. I found a couple of these drabbles on my computer and I thought I'd post one for you guys. It's so totally cool if you don't even know who I am anymore, but I really wanted to post something after all this time. Please enjoy and forgive my hiatus. I will be back, I promise! HERE take Sho as an apology.
